Membership Categories
Agents
REALTORS® wishing to join the Siskiyou Association of Realtors® must complete a membership application and be sponsored by their Broker, who is required to be a member. If your Broker is not a member of our Association, they are able to join at the same time as you with a separate application and their own fees.
If you are primary to N.A.R. and C.A.R with another Association and wish to join Siskiyou Association of Realtors® as a secondary agency, you are able to gain access to our MLS with this type of membership and do not have to pay the N.A.R. and C.A.R. fees again. Brokers
Brokers wishing to join the Siskiyou Association of Realtors® must complete a membership application and can work independently, or be the managing Broker of a licensed office with affiliated agents. The same rules apply to Brokers as they do the REALTORS® as noted above.
If you are primary to N.A.R. and C.A.R with another Association and wish to join Siskiyou Association of Realtors® as a secondary agency, you are able to gain access to our MLS with this type of membership and do not have to pay the N.A.R. and C.A.R. fees again. Secondary Members
A REALTOR® may join the Siskiyou Association of Realtors® without their Broker being a member of our Association. This is called a “Secondary Membership” and allows the REALTOR® to be a member of our Association, but they will not have access to our MLS.
Secondary Members are also primary to N.A.R. and C.A.R. through another Association where their dues for both N.A.R. and C.A.R. are paid through that Association. If the primary association is in a different state, the REALTOR® will pay CAR dues to our Association along with their Local Association Dues.

Affiliate/Industry Partners
Affiliate Members are individuals involved in a business related to real estate but they are not a licensed REALTOR®, Broker or Appraiser. They may not join N.A.R. and C.A.R., but as a member of our Association, they have access to various effective member benefits to enhance their business.

Appraisers
A licensed Real Estate Appraiser wishing to join the Siskiyou Association of Realtors® can have access to our MLS and Local Board Member Benefits. Appraisers have the opportunity to join C.A.R. to gain access to the various benefits they offer, but it is not required.

Some membership types with our Association provide MLS access for Siskiyou County. The MLS feeds to most third-party vendors, but access directly to the MLS provides you with detailed information on each listing, allows you to post listings, and ensures you conduct business to the maximum benefit for your client or business. - Updated Contracts and Forms
C.A.R. offers Zipforms as a member benefit and it is a tool that ensures you are using the most updated, and active, version of the transaction forms for California. The tool offers easy management of transactions, digital signing, and more. - Work Ethic as defined by the N.A.R. Code of Ethics
